Local classic car gathering near me today. Amongst the MGBs and such were a couple of particular interest.

I couldn’t even place this - not sure I have ever seen one before; a VW K70.

This NG tickled my fancy - big wheels, aero screens, I just like the type.

I had a K70 in the 80s. NSU design just as VW took them over. Their first front-engine water-cooled vehicle, I think.

It's travelled a long way.

One the Mrs spotted today; I think a Jensen CV8. I've maybe seen one before. It is an evolution of their earlier rather fine glass fibre bodied 541 which had a large basic and rather agricultural straight six, but the CV8 has their first Yank V8. The stylish Interceptor was their next incarnation of the Euro-American theme. Later Bristols took the same path

Does that make me sad that I knew what it was before I read your words?
