Weren't they designed so you could drive across a ploughed field with a basket of eggs on the seat and not break any?

I had a Dyane many years ago. It floated over deep snow that would defeat other cars.
The suspension was interconnected front and back on each side so that, if the front wheel went up, the rear wheel went down to preserve equilibrium (and vice versa).

That's a new one on me , Weston Underwood is a lovely little village.
The Cowper arms use to be fantastic for food but it's been a few years since I was last in there.
