The Transit based model is not officially called the T7.

VW have applied the T7 designation solely to the new Multivan series.

The new mid size van is just Transporter and, because VW are not manufacturing it, has not been given a T series designation. Look on Wiki.

I'll save you the bother...

The new generation of the Volkswagen Transporter, which is a fundamentally new model co-developed with Ford and does not carry a formal "T7" designation from Volkswagen. While a model was initially discussed and marketed by some as the "T7 Transporter" (based on the new Ford platform), Volkswagen chose not to use that designation to distinguish it from the Multivan series, which remains a distinct VW-developed product. This new Transporter is based on the Ford Transit Custom platform but features its own unique exterior design, modern interior with upgraded technology, and powertrain options including diesel, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric variants.

Key Details:
No Official T7 Designation:
Volkswagen deliberately avoided using the "T7" name for the new model to distinguish it from its own Multivan series and acknowledge its Ford origins.

Your right looks nice but different to the t6 a mix of Sharan and caravelle.

Wondering whether to go to "Mile of Triumphs" next week https://www.holkham.co.uk/whats-on/mile-of-triumphs/

Difficult as I'm too close to buying myself a Spitfire Mk III. Had one many years ago but it died and I got rid of it too quickly. Brilliant cars to work on - I remember being able to get the interior dismantled and access to gear box & clutch, prop shaft universal joints, etc. in <5 mins (which meant carets out, car radio out, etc.). Could get it back together is similar time.

But it would be an expensive nostalgia trip as I car I have already I only use maybe 20 miles a week for a shopping run and the Spitfire would have to be a 2nd car. I really shouldn't, it would be daft but ...

As Golfs are being discussed..never owned a VAG product, rarely ever drive them tbh, a few company cars but one overriding memory was 90s Golf Rabbit. God I hated driving it, clutch was really heavy, accelerator felt like there was resistance behind it...It was awful and with hindsight, I do wonder if it had something like a pedal box fault ?
Cars are funny things, I'd never entertained a German cars (or any other European car generally speaking)..nah, not interested, no chance. No logic, just some inner bias or whatever, who knows ?
Current car is Japanese (proper Japanese) and it suspect i will stick with them now...although the Tiguan or Kodiaq keep popping into my head for their massive usability benefits
