Sentimental value.... I'd love a scrap Escort Mexico sat on my dridriveway.
You'd soon become fed up with people knocking on your door wanting to buy it.

At the old place one of my neighbours had a Dolly Sprint on his driveway. His stated intention was to one day restore it, but when I moved out 14 years later it was so lacy the shell was collapsing in on itself.

Not only did it look unsightly and awful but a historic vehicle that could have been saved has been lost because the owner was not only too bone idle lazy to restore it, but was too bone idle laxy to even place an ad somewhere and punt it on while it was still salvageable.

I'd have Car SOS on speed dial.

This ol' Mercedes hasn't moved for at least 5+years and normally there's a Peugeot 306 next to it but the Pug seems to have disappeared in the last week hence being able to get a picture.
It doesn't look in bad condition mainly a degree of lacquer peal on top but who knows underneath?

Looks like it's last MOT was 15 years ago

Looks like an Mgc with the straight 6

Dull fact - this straight 6 lump was twice as heavy (c600lbs) than the later V8 fitted (c300lbs) That's a lorra lorra weight as Cilla was prone to saying.

I recall driving to Weymouth each summer back in the 90s..can't remember where exactly, but down there we used to pass a house with a Ford Corsair on the drive. Subsequent summers saw it still there but slowly, then quickly deteriorating...and then gone. It was pretty well rotted out the last time we saw it, shame really...

There's an Austin Cambridge that's been slowly deteriorating over many years on the outskirts of Ipswich - this Google View image is from 2012, but it's been in that position for as long as I can remember.
