1988. Imported from Japan into my garage.

I use to own an 86, it was a nice car but sold it years ago when I got rid of my mostly British car collection. Then I was going to buy another 80s era Alfa here about 3 years ago, but my wife is unable to get into and out of such a low car anymore, so I bought a 2002 Lexus SC430, I have to help her out of it but not as much as I would have with the Alfa. I still have a yearn for another Alfa, but it probably won't be in my lifetime, but at least I use to own one.

A neighbour treated himself to a soft top 944 turbo after some kind of lump sum came his way and it really did go like a rocket. I think his Mrs later somehow frightened herself silly in it and they got rid. Not quite sure the whole story but no one was hurt and I don't think she actually crashed but still...

The owner said it's a Cannon, built by a Tasmanian sheep farmer. It currently has a Suzuki engine, and he gets a wet arse every time he drives it in the rain.

He said he'd won one or two trials. There were about ten made of which I think he said two or three were road-legal.

It's a trials "special" alright. The muddy spare wheels on the back and the lightweight, stripped-back design are the giveaways.

My bestie competes in trials - he did the Clee Hills and Cotswold Clouds previous weekends. Albeit he drives an X90. Although he navigated an event in a Kraken special earlier in the season.
