Yes, that's official.

Modern batteries are nkw more often than not LiFePo4, with active cooling and heating g, very clever charging management, etc.

That's worth my keeping in mind. I had been somewhat nervous about even a 5 year old lecci car whilst I happily bought my last two petrol cars at 10 years old

A regularly used, and used quite hard, but clearly cherished series 1

I worked with a bloke who re-chassied his series one Landy rather than scrap it, apparently you can buy them to original spec, not cheap but better than modding a later one to fit.

Two new chassis and engines and one new body !

You could get new chassis for Triumph Vitesses and Heralds too, but I didn't pursue it in the end

EDIT: something I wasn't aware of till recently is that if something is galvanised it is problematic if it subsequently needs welding as the zinc fumes are toxic. Welders would drink milk as a supposed help but I think it would cause neurological problems. Maybe a reason to not select a galve'd chassis for such a vehicle?

Of course the need for any welding is significantly reduced by having the galvanised chassis.

Yes, yes and thrice yes. My Dad had 2 of these (bought with someone else's money, of course).

Following the usual pattern of cars he bought twice: the first one was sublime, the 2nd was an absolute dog; the dealer even put the wrong registration plate on the 2nd one. He went to pick it up after a service and said: that's not my car to which the dealer principal said....er....about that.

I nearly bought a BX GTi on one occasion. Low mileage, great condition, but dirt cheap. Stupidly I procrastinated and by the time I'd decided id have it the damn thing had gone
