It is a miracle that that Toyota hasn't been turned into a rally car, or at least been seriously modified by now. Lightweight and RWD, with room for an Opel redtop or Ford Zetec. Very popular here for a particular type of clientele here, and worth a lot of money now.

I am pleased that it hasn't all the same. I am probably odd as a lover of basic cars!

Many years ago, getting into the back seat of one of those belonging to a neighbour who gave me a lift to Sunday School every week, my foot went through the floor as it was so rusty!

It is a miracle that that Toyota hasn't been turned into a rally car, or at least been seriously modified by now. Lightweight and RWD, with room for an Opel redtop or Ford Zetec. Very popular here for a particular type of clientele here, and worth a lot of money now.

I never liked those. A Mustang lookie likey with a 1300 or even 1600 Kent engine. The mechanically identical Cortina was more honest and vastly more practical and comfy, particularly in the back, and in 1600E guise at least still rather appealing. I'd also prefer a Granada to the V6 Capris too.

When I was much younger, I'd have loved a Capri.

Now I'm not sure I'd be bothered either. I used to think I'd like a sports car, but nowadays my main car criteria is bike carrying potential.

I'd take a Cortina estate if going down the elderly Ford route.
