One For Classic Car Fans.....

[Illaveago]

I saw a Clan Crusader driving through Biddestone last week. Sorry no pictures as it was too quick. Hillman Imp engined originally.

I had one in French blue, M reg 1974.

The ‘fixer up’ on TV was blue

A real bumper classic haul on this morning's ride , pretty sure I have seen the Volvo and Lada in the same place before.

But the others I haven't seen before.

I saw a Morris Marina in Bath R.U.H on Tuesday, it was a dark copper brown colour with a beige vinyl roof. It looked to be in very good condition.

At nearly 35 years old this probably qualifies as a classic. Rarer than a Sapphire Cosworth but worth less than 10% of it's value, I give you the mighty GLS spec version, which appeared to have a Disklock of the same vintage fitted.

Hideous things. You can catch rabies just looking at the brown ones.

Oh! Forgot to mention a Daimler Dart SP250 and a series 1 Land Rover parked in Lacock.

I have seen a maroon Triumph 2000/2500 in roughly the same place as this white one

I popped into Gaydon yesterday and they’ve got a a new Hot Hatch exhibition, very much my era so bought back many happy memories.
