I saw a mix of instances of cyclists 'RL jumping', undertaking and carelessly disregarding pedestrians.

What's the bloody rush? It seems to invite trouble, and I would encourage folk who do this stuff to take a step back and enjoy the experience more - not contest it all the time. Commuting is a journey, not a race, and we can all do better.

there's too many wise words coming from you recently, i'm not used to that

The OP turns out to be the brother of a colleague of mine. He has a broken collarbone and concussion but (apparently) no other serious injuries. Says he can't remember much other than hitting the windscreen of the car.

Please suggest that he contact Russell Jones Walker who are solicitors that specialise in cycle accidents.

I was a witness to an accident last year in almost exactly the same place, with almost the same results.

Very true - and I spent a while last night watching Origamist's videos on how to...
It was a beautiful morning today, and I was travelling at about 15 - 16 mph along the bus lane towards West Hendon when - bam! A person in a nissan micra with children in the back and another in the front decided to look at me... for ages - and then pull out from the left. And stop! And then go!
No chance for me but I hit the rear panel - she was gone - and I performed a slo-mo over the handlebars, watching the road below / above me :headshake:

Oh dear, GWS Mart. If it's any consolation, I reckon the car is a write off. Will try and pop to the pub later.
