That is all I have done do far this month and I don't like it. It is all down to two reasons:
1- the weather has been crap.( nothing I can do about that).
2- I have been too busy building my decking ( and I still have at least 3 more week ends at it)
So cycling has taken a back seat for time being and so has my fitness.
Can't wait to get on the saddle again and do some miles.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Keep your chin up , you will soon be back on the road !
What with the stork bringing another bundle in January i am about 700 miles behind target for the year already and it does not look to be getting any better .
I am already mentally cancelling the sportives i was going to enter as i do not really get time to train and the cost of entry compared to buying food etc what with the wife no longer earning .

How big is your decking!? I just did a 3.6mx3.6m raised deck. 25 holes to dig, posts to cut and set in concrete, etc. and it probably 'only' took 4 full days in total (some evenings plus 2 full days on Fri/Sat last week). I've had a fairly light month on the bike as well for other reasons, but still managed 400 miles up to today (most months I'll do 800-1000 miles which is the minimum for me really to be able to race competitively).

I've had a rubbish month too... Combination of wussing out because of the weather, combined with a series of unavoidable social commitments mean that I've not put the miles in and I've not managed to race in any form at all...

20 square meters with built in bench ( 4 m long) and pergola. I can only work on it at week ends and rain stopped me past week ends.
