I got a boardman road race last year as my first bike, so can only compare t to that. In my opinion the cube is amazing. I am 6ft and 15-16 stone range and I glide along on it. I rarely find myself on the small ring, and find climbing a lot easier on this than the boardman. Comfort wise I don't come off it sore, and at the moment I am doing average of 50 miles a trip on it. It looks small in frame, but even with my belly in the way I can use all 3 main positions on the handle bars.

I got my voucher, called halfords, and picked up the next day. I believe it's on show In dales ek store, but may now be in Glasgow since I got mine. I cannot recommend it enough. So much bang for your buck between full 105 and the wheels. Just don't get the white one

i just didnt want to go down the halfords route to register ,and then find out im tied to them and not able to go elsewhere,my employer wants me to register with halfords first ,let them contact my employer ,and once i receive my voucher phone a helpline and let them know im going somewhere else ,is this correct?

i searched for a bike, found the Cube, set my voucher for the £1000, went back to Dales, put a deposit on the bike. then when voucher arrived, called halfords with details on the bike ( store/ value/ size) then called dales to arrange when to pick it up.

@Louch I'm a big lad similar to yourself, just wondered what size frame you got your Cube in and how you find that sizing?

yeah i just sat on it and it felt fine ,standover was fine and didnt feel i was stretching too far ,tried the 58(in pro guise but basically same re sizing issues and i felt that my knees would b to close to bars honking (well er,,,, kinda )up a hill if it comes too it i can fit a shorter stem if it turns out to b not the case ,as it stands the first thing il prob end up doing is flipping the stem ,this has gota have some sort of effect on reach (has it?)
anyway ,the bike shop has a proper fitting room thing on a trainer so before i take it away il b saying i want them to run a proper eye over me to make sure its the right size and if not they will b changing things ,but the guy serving me was 6'1 and he said he rode a 60 so its gota b ballpark
