They are merging with EE. What happens after that is anyones guess.
Presumably T-Mobile will be going as well, to fall under the same name. EE.

According to my broadband account this happened quite a while ago. EE have been billing me for I'd guess getting on for a year now (I could be wrong as I can't actually remember when the change occured, but it feels like a long time ago).

Being a Luddite, I phoned them up a few months ago when the orange disappeared from my phone screen and was replaced by an ee.

Proper prepared to kick off at them as I thought the phone was borked...

What a twelk.:shy:

EE owns Orange so can't merge with it. It's one of EE's brands along with T-mobile though Orange as a brand began to disappear two years ago or more when it was replaced by Everything Everywhere. As I'm not a T-mobile customer I'm not sure where that's up to.

One thing I will say is that since the advent of EE Orange customer service has plummeted to the extent after 20 years I will probably leave in the next couple of weeks.

If the future is no longer Orange, how bright is it?

Orange broadband merged into one with EE's
Orange it self is still a separate company being subsitary of EE.
However orange only do phones and tablets. Moblie devices in effect.
The network is EE's which is why it is called as such but orange ad t moblie being owned by EE they use it's network. Although the networks were originally made of tmoblie and orange masts and it still is. That difference is still there. However difference being anyone on the network can use either.

The only downside is that EE is closing down some cell sites where they have both TMob and Orange sites in closish proximity which is causing loss of, or reduced signal in some locations. Trust me I know

True and I'm the one that has to deal with it however most of the optimisation is well over.
Mostly due to when we merged there we two masts covering the same area and it was never needed which is why they were removed. Some places had 200% more cell coverage power than needed
