    Hi Electricity fans...
I have a visitor from overseas who needs a plug adaptor for the UK (i.e. to be able to plug foreign phone-charger into UK plug). Any ideas as to where one might procure such an item?
    Danke schon

Try Maplins at the Metro Centre, it`s beside Evans cycle shop

Student Union shops always seem to do them, to cater for all the foreign students who forgot to bring one... Not sure if there is one near you, but if there is, it might be worth a try...

  4. What sort of plug do they have - two-pin-no-earth job ?

If so, if there's a two-pin shaver point in the bathroom, it'll probably fit in that

Providing of course it likes 240V....

As graham56 says, Maplins is the answer. I had to buy one at the weekend while in the UK to charge something up and it worked a treat.

Also try boots. I got one there when I bought an electric shaver but didn't have a shaver socket in the house.
