OT: Tow-bar ball nuts and bolts...what size spanner?

Gotta remove the tow-bar ball on my car to remove the bike rack fixture that is bolted to it. 'Cos of all the sockets and wires it's a bugger of a job to do with adjustables and stilsons, sockets would be good or the correct type of spanner, but oes anybody know the size required?

    Cheers

I'm talking about the thread, not across the flats

Thanks guys...off to get a bigger spanner set later...you can never have enough tools...

  6. Why, if he is looking for the correct spanner size would he want to know the bloody thread size?

Huge! I ended up nipping to my local mechanic to borrow one.
