GWS. Please report the slip on www.fixmystreet.com, especially if it seems multiple crashes have occurred. I guess it's the Canal and Rivers Trust's responsibility to clear whatever's making it slippery but I'm not sure.

Sounds a sore one. It will maybe depend how the bone is lying. Mine broke into three bits too but they were almost in a Z shape with ends close to the surface. Even at that, the surgeon still left it up to me whether to get it plated or not but glad I did in the end. His junior said he would defininately want it plated if it was his so that convinced me to go ahead. Hope it's not too bad and you recover well.
