We've just watched this series on DVD over the last couple of weeks and I'd forgotten what a bloody good programme it is. First rate script and some superb acting by all concerned. They aged them all really well too considering the time frame covered. If you've not watched it for a few years it's worth a revisit and if you've never seen it I'd recommend giving it a go.

Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed that one as well, struck me as a bit of a more modern When The Boat comes In, in a weird sort of way.

I quite fancy picking up The Boys from the Blackstuff as well sometime

maybe we need to start a DVD box set sharing thing?

I thought it was rather good. My father liked it even more, having been a young left-winger at the same time as the characters.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I remember liking that at the time and would like to watch it again. I'll see if the local library can get hold of it. If not. Amazon are charging under £18 for the DVD boxed set.
