Ich bin Powerfrau!
She's just come back from the groomers and had a few bits of hair trimmed around her eyes. There's still dried yoghurt on her, however, which doesn't seem to want to come off.

I'm getting on better with her but am feeling the strain a bit today as I didn't have ènough sleep last night. Tomorrow I'm at Mildenhall all day cycling so my husband will be looking after her on his own. Not sure how much he'll appreciate that!

Well as the owner of the beige/white ones decided to give the one we'd reserved to someone else, we had to look for another. Poppy comes from a smaller mum (a pet cocker, rather than a show one) so she should end up a bit smaller which is good. So far she's being brilliant but I'm now on my own for a week and have a real desire to go out on the bike but not too sure how long I should leave her. She's in the other room with radio 4 which she already seems to like, so doesn't appear to have to be with me the whole time, but it's still a bit nerve-wracking leaving her initially.

I used a dog crate as soon as my cocker arrived. She soon became used to going into the crate night time during the daywhen i wasout. Up to about 1 year old she could be left for aprox to hours without any probs.Dogs try not to make amess in ther bedding.Sally is 7 and the longest i have left her is aprox 7 hours. She can be left free in the house.Still use the crate in the car. Training Sally to be aware that the crate is her place has i feel made her feel ok about being left.

Here is Poppy in her crate:

We can leave her for 3 hours in the day no probs (haven't needed to leave her any longer yet) and she does nine and a half hours at night.

And here she is being weighed today, 2.75kg at almost 13 weeks old.
