That was good fun and some fantastic views.
31+ miles, 4300+ ft climbing and only 54% of the battery used (although I only use the motor when I need it).

Not Allenhead but not too far away.
Middleton-in-Teesdale to Stanhope, up Weardale on the little road through Brotherlee then back over Swinhope Head to Newbiggin.

Yep, ebikes are great fun.
They are of course another way of cheating, but cycling is built on a long history of cheating from professional medication, to chemicals, to eight squillion gears, to feather weight carbon fibre so what's wrong with a little electric motor
I'm not sure about the CO2 saved though, by the time I wheezed and exhaled by way up their I'm sure I've made a net contribution

I have been accused of cheating a few times

nealy alwasy jokingly

only guy who was serious about it was busily loading his mountain bike onto his car at the time - on a canal path which tend to be somewhat flat!

I was just heading home after doing over 20 miles starting and finishing at home and hence zero fossil fuel usage
(it was summer and I have solar panels - before anyone gets pedantic
Oh - and I an on EDF who use nuclear power to make electrons anyway!!)

yes I know!
