Anyone know anything about these

http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CLJCAMOS/jacobsons-ambigo-overshoe

?

Or can recommend another overshoe from planet x or elsewhere.

I need something to just keep rain off. I have another pair for stronger cold/heat insulation.

I tend to prefer velcro fastening, somewhat wary of zips.

Mind you, am posting this after, mysteriously losing a velcro fastening overshoe. Either it managed to extract itself from my foot whilst pedalling or I somehow managed to leave it on a train while putting it on.

As you can maybe guess, have had an odd day.

ah well spotted rickshaw - good post - in truth more than the others pointing out what I knew - that they were £3- lots of stuff is £3 but I still don't buy it.

If anyone can recommend any others, maybe at a discounted price, go ahead.

Endura do some with velcro only, and they make good quality stuff in general. Discounts should be available almost anywhere leading up to Friday.

Appreciate you're looking for rain proof only, but I'd look for a discounted pair that are wind and water proof and that keep your feet warm. That way you don't need to choose when the weather gets bad.. I've got Rogelli Windsors, really good quality for a relatively good price (combined with the gloves).

Thanks for the good responses.

As it happens I was in my local Aldi, one which specialises in their end of line extra discounts, and they had some for £7.99.

Not Neoprene, just says nylon, so maybe not as warm as some, but will see - and I do have some battered neoprene ones I can wear when the chills really hit.

The Aldi ones have a zip, which I usually try to avoid (a previous pair of Aldi specials of a different design bust the zip on the third wearing and I should have taken threm back but was too lazy - Aldi's guarantee is decent) but the zip seems quite decent on these and I will try to be careful with them,

Of course I had to get a size bigger than the labelling implied to get some that would fit, and still snuggly, over my cycling shoes. One sometimes wonders if the folk/elves who label overshoes actually realise that they go OVER the shoes.

Will wear a lot next few weeks and see how they go - maybe get an extra pair if they seem decent/hold op.

Looking good so far anthony. Was out in storm whatever it's called last night and they held up pretty well. Zip seems good. Good fit. They are from aldi's "pro" cycling range i think. The more upmarket stuff. Original price was about £15 I think. Only downside I can think of is that I am wont to repair my overshoes as they wear with duct tape (i have no shame) and the material these are made of may be less suitable for that. But that is hardly a damning criticism. So, as I said, looking good. Will report more later if anything significant to report.

Great! And indeed, it would be a little bit unfair to count that as a minus..
