As fast as you can, looking as relaxed as you can, and (very important this) shouting "LOSER....LOSER" Jeremy Clarkson-stylie. Carry on.

Do you have a nice bum?
Maybe the idiot wanted a just reward for his nicety.

This is what I do when overtaking cyclists while skating.BrumJim said:Free-wheel past. Its the only way.
That's tongue-in-cheek right, if it's not it's complete & utter cobblers! The power difference between me doing 8 & 10mph on a 5% hill is the best part of 30% but that 2mph difference will not let me pass them by free wheel but I'll almost certainly leave the rider doing 8mph behind. Same for the step up from 20 to 23mph, that's a big step up power wise & while a rider may be able to take my wheel they may well not be able to hold that sort of speed for any reasonable distance solo. In both examples sure I could sprint but I don't want to sprint I want to cruise so why should I not overtake someone I'm blatantly stronger/wanting to ride faster than?BrumJim said:Free-wheel past. Its the only way. Even when going up-hill. If you can't free-wheel past, then don't bother trying to overtake.
