We are very lucky in Oxfordshire, there is many routes out and about, mostly flat, with a few hills,

North Oxford ,
you got Banbury Stratford-upon-Avon,

East,
High wycombe Aylesbury Thame

South,
Ridgeway, Newbury.

West
Cheltenham, Cotswold

Or depends what you want,

You can also do Southampton and back in a day,

There is a lot of good cycling clubs to join , like Abingdon freecycle@fabfoodie will fill you in with all the details.

Oxfordshire is fantastic. Only downsides I can't think of, are it's expensive, and far from the sea. On the plus side, beautiful, low crime, and great places to cycle, lovely country roads through quiet villages.

Within 20 mins I can either be riding in town or be out in the countryside.
Oxfordshire countryside is indeed lovely, great for cycling!

Train service OK if you happen to be near enough to a station (well, apart from Bicester where we patiently wait for the service to Oxford station to be restored after 2 years)

I used to live on Oxford St. Castleford in Yorkshire. It weren't owt special.Hope that helps.

I know, I checked a couple of months ago. It will then become (once again) our preferred way to get into Oxford.
