Having just signed up to the Oxford English Dictionary site (as I thought proper use of proper words might be in order, now I'm a 'blogger') I was surprised and delighted to find they have entered the usage of some words we are all familiar with into their May Update issue.

So we can now officially use the words 'bikeable', 'sportive', 'grand fondo' and 'audax' knowing they are a 'thing' (also in the update).

We will have to make up some more words though, for instance only here can you innocently make a comment only to discover you've made a 'fnaarable' one...

Don't visit the site if you like words and wordplay, it can be a 'crazy time suck.'

In further news, I believe that the Giro organisers are pushing for the words 'giant weather induced cock-up' to be inserted into common usage, along with 'misundercommunicated'.
