Well eye-glasses does distinguish them from drinking glasses.

Civilians becoming combatants taking up arms to kick the sh*t out of civilians of the same country taking up arms as opposed to doing the same to 'civilians' of foreign countries taking up arms to kick the sh*t out of them.
