Should stick to it like #### to a blanket as the ridges etc provide a decent key.
Yes, I meant what would the finish be like? Would people normally fill in the ridges with something or just paint over?

so I moved this bag to the other side of the garage & put a plastic tarp under it. didn't seem to be leaking. I wonder if it was having some kind of chemical reaction thru the bag!?need to figure what is going on with this ice melt & figure out how to dispose of it. it may be decades old

Now RR don't forget you start at the front of the garage and work back to the left corner.![]()
I do remind myself that I need to escape & or continue to use it, while it driesI'm guessing it would cover just fine but would be more work that a smooth floor. but a word of caution, painting cement leaves you with a painted surface, not a cement surface. a cement surface is more durable & probably easier to clean? if you ever want to resurface w/ new cement. you'd have to remove the paint. I wouldn't wildly suggest anyone paint cement. & yes, there are specific durable paints for cement such as "deck paints"
Maybe there's a terminology difference but isn't your floor the same apart from the texture. My floor is concrete, i.e cement, sand, gravel; mixed, poured and presumably raked? Yours is smoother, so probably was rolled?
I admit it's not my area of expertise though. Some blokes came, levelled the ground, put boards round the area, shovelled some powder from bags into a mixer then poured it.
I'm just looking for a better covering that doesn't raise so much dust. Maybe those plastic tiles
yes of course, ours is concreteMaybe there's a terminology difference but isn't your floor the same apart from the texture. My floor is concrete, i.e cement, sand, gravel; mixed
notes to self: had grand plans to do more, but was occupied elsewhere. even after thorough drying I can see where the sections meet. gonna try to do larger sections to keep that to a minimum. don't want to do a 2nd coat. dunno if "blending" is worth the effort
