I have now eaten my body weight in pancakes

I have set myself the task of trying this very soon - though I might use a glassI enjoy pancakes with whisky. I find the whisky doesn't stick very well so I now eat the pancakes then drink the whisky straight out of the bottle. Only to save any mess of course![]()
When I was a kid we'd often have 'Yorkshire puds' (little ones made in a 12 hole 'cupcake tray' ) with Raspberry/Blackberry vinegar.I've only just seen this thread so apologies for the belated response. we didn't have pancakes this Shrove Tuesday and we don't observe Lent but we do often have pancakes, especially when my partner's father comes over for Saturday lunch. We have them sweet - the others have lemon juice and sugar but I always have a fruit vinegar with sprinkled sugar. As a kid in Lincolnshire, I knew it as 'bramble vinegar' but others around the parts I live now call it by the name of the berry. At the moment, I have no bramble vinegar but have, as a substitute, a bottle of damson vinegar.
