i went into a bike shop yesterday, tri-uk if i recall, nice looking shop but i came across (not literally) a set of bike wheels for £1250 whats so special about a pair of wheels that they would cost more than the average bike

Heh! definitely not commuting wheels! Competition use only. They are rather lovely: incredibly light and free spinning. If the offspring buckles one he will have to kill himself
