Panniers for a big laptop

Could anyone recommend a pannier for lugging my laptop about? It's 17" and quite heavy (it's a few years old)

I currently carry it in a rucksack, so it has some suspension in the form of my arms and legs on the bumpier parts of my commute, so I'm a bit worried that in a pannier it will get thudded about a fair bit - ideally I'd like room to put a layer of bubble wrap or something in the bottom of the bag too.

So, yeah - if you can recommend a big, cheap(ish) pannier, I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

If you can wait until the Aldi/Lidl bike stuff they might have one. I got one a few years back & it takes my 15" laptop comfortably, although I think they are sold as cycle courier bags rather than lap top bags

They look good, but they're not big enough sadly - the laptop is 30cm x 40cm (I've just found the tape measure).

I carry it on my back because I have no choice at the moment - it's 3.5kg so it's not 'a week's shopping' heavy, but it's heavy enough to be irritating
