I reckon, instead of going back to doom and despondancy and real life, the BBC and C4 should just re-show the whole lot again. And again. And again. Sod real life.

In fact the Olympic Opening was shown again a couple of weeks ago, and NT watched it all over again entranced.

I don't want them to end .... it's been fantastic, and inspiring:cry: .
Agreed. I've always been a passionate fan of the Olympics since Munich 72, I never thought I'd ever get the chance to see them live. Gutted when we didn't get tickets in the early draws, but so so, so glad I got to see Paralympics.
An evening that will live with me forever.
I can only think of one word to describe being there and the whole 2012 experience ....

Joyous

What a finale - fireworks all across London from Southbank to Stratford ending up with an image on the Houses of Parliament and really stirring music. Fantabadosi. Just sad it had to come to an end.

Shaun! How's the forum income doing?

How much would a couple of thousand tickets to Rio cost....;)
I reckon if we start cycling east, a quick boat ride over the Bering strait and then head south-ish we might just make it in time ...

I hazza friend who came over from Canada to work at the Olympics.
She's hoping to do Rio next time too!!
Now, New Scientist this week had a article about human-powered aircraft.
Got to be a better bet than swimming the Bering Strait...
