I used to work in a delicatessen and one day a bloke came in and offered me one of these, pristinely wrapped, in exchange for a bit of food.

I took a Tern for the wurst.

I really don't know how you think of this stuff sometimes.

I like thinking about paradigm shift. Seriously, I do. Not that there isn't a paradigm within shirt buttoning methodologies, wasn't meaning to trivialise it, no, not at all... but it's a subject that can amuse me for quite a while. We're all locked into ways of seeing things. It's what we do and how we function. We need security, conformity and order in our lives; so we fix opinions and beliefs. A paradigm shift can undermine that and make us feel quite unsettled. What was once rock solid in our world suddenly seems less so.... like uneven numbers of buttons on shirts. Does your head in.

It won't do you head in if you undo the buttons first and stop trying to wear it like a T shirt.
