Parking in Inverness help ???

Hi setting off on the north coast 500 sat morning and looking for somewhere to park my car in Inverness from the 10th to the 16th.

Does anyone know of anywhere that is preferably free and close to inverness syha.

Go Outdoors on Glendoe Terrace has a huge car park close to the City centre.

Maybe you could write to the manager and explain the situation and make sure that its clear that Go Outdoors will not bear any responsibility for loss or damage to your car while you are away.

Check they don't have three hour limits or similar enforced by parking contractors or you could come back to many tickets! More and more large stores with big carparks seem to be doing this. My elderly parents got stung in sainsburys, because they spent 3 hours shopping and having lunch in the cafe! Being retired, they don't rush these outings!! They hadn't noticed any signs

Thank you I phoned the place I'm staying and they said I can leave it their as I'm also staying when I return to inverness which is excellent news

Don't know if Scotland differs to England in respect to parking enforcement, but the CAS (Citizens Advice Scotland) state they need to take you to court to enforce it and that you are allowed to challenge it if you have ground to do so as advised by 'expect legal advice' from July 2015.

Depends if they want to take you to court for such a reltively small amount.
