Parking wars outside my house

As quiet as Wales is where I live there is a war going on right outside my house. It's called parking wars ,and it's getting uglier by the day. The roads are as narrow as the houses and in this day and age everybody wants to park there 2/3 cars right outside there door step.
There's simply to many cars to do this and it's causing friction big time amongst the neighbours . My next door neighbour has now resorted to putting his Wheelie bins out on the road if he needs to go out ,while his other half will stand guard over them just in case somebody else moves them to park their car there. I've lost count of the amount of arguments that have erupted over the last few weeks over this. Just this morning a stray car was parked in there place( possibly a visiting relative staying over for the night) 7am it was gone and 2 minutes later the neighbours car was swiftly wedged in to his righteous place lol. I find watching all these childish antics hilarious to watch and I'm just waiting for the fireworks to really kick off when he comes across someone who's just as aggressive.
Just imagine though if bikes were more a common place in our society. This problem would be instantly solved. No more parking wars, or trying to wedge in your car into the tiniest of spaces. Clear free quiet roads with no pollution, and people looking a whole lot healthier and happier. Most of these car users could easily ditch there cars in favour for the humble bike and save themselves a some fortune each year in running costs.
When you think about it, a car uses a fuel ,that once is gone, its gone for ever and can never be replaced ,but the fuel a cyclist needs ,is food and that is a replaceable and sustainable commodity in our world.
Even with the event of cheap clean electric cars we will still have the problems of where to park them. I fact parking wars may become even more of a problem. Will our pathways be littered with cables strewn across them charging up our electric iron chariots of evil .
Haha the mind boggles lol :-)

OMG. Is that picture for real lol :-). How on earth would you ever find your bike in that lot after a day at work.

We live in a narrow street with limited parking. Everyone tucks up close to the kerb, mirrors in, and squeezes up to maximise the space for others. If you come back late you have to park in othwr streets. Occasionally folk are having deliveries or builders and leave a little note out asking for a space to be left. Funilly enough this all works fine and there's never a problem or fuss. It really isn't hard !

You would get parking wars with bikes too; people would leave their bike locks aginst railings or trees or lamposts and think that was their parking space then get all edgy if someone else parked thsi bike there. The only solution is to not have your own private transport, and just use the local bus/train/tram service. Or park your bike inside your property, with the enforcment officers removing bikes locked outside.

Should be like Japan, where you can't get a permit to buy a car unless can prove to the authorities you have somewhere off road to keep it. No permit = stuck only with a tiny Kei Car to minimise the space you're hogging on the highway.

So, people like me should be banned from parking in the street I live in, in order to free up space for people like Drago to park in. Strangely I don't find that a compelling idea.

My street can be infuriating, I can't decide whether most of the residents can't park or simply have no common sense/common courtesy to be able to park so as to maximise the number of cars that can park in the street.
Pulling in to a space big enough for 2 cars then reversing bang into the middle off it rather than up to the car in front or the car behind rendering each gap too small for another car!
The worst thing is they get out and look at the front and back then walk off pleased with themselves like they've done a good job!
I've been known to actually go out to our 1 car and move it if the parking situation has changed so as to allow a sufficient gap for another car.
