Always good to see that the people who don't like politics and such things commenting again...
On the Wimbledon branch, not the Ealing Broadway...
But be it Wimbledon, Ealing Broadway or Richmond they are all crowded at that time of the morning...
You may also need to monitor your awesome levels as your body may not be used to the sudden increase.I'll be in Laandan all next week and I'll be using the tube. More likely to die from a heart attack induced by price of a pint tbh
Or got on the wrong train?Hmm. When have I been through it then? Must have been visiting a friend in Wimbledon. Or memory playing tricks.
Don't know if its that simple... if one just considers getting run over v getting blown up perhaps there is a marginal benefit to give up the bike and take the tube, but in the longer run don't you have to factor in the health and change of lifestyle benefits of cycling... I'd have thought such benefits would far outweigh the additional comparatively small risk of being on the road?It isn't playing it down. It is trying to understand the real risks involved.
The reality is that if someone wants to reduce their risk of being killed in London, they should stop cycling and start taking the tube
I paid only £4.30 for London Pride in Kensington yesterday, cheap in that part of town. But don't let that give you false hope.I'll be in Laandan all next week and I'll be using the tube. More likely to die from a heart attack induced by price of a pint tbh

Yes... I should have acknowledged that... was trying to add to rather than counter your post...You're quite right of course and it was a somewhat glib and over-simplistic post of mine. The over-simplification was to boil down the issue of whether I was more likely to die cycling a mile in London or taking a tube for a mile and the stats are very clear on this. Merely to flush out the misperception that public transport in London is "dangerous"...cos it ain't
Yeah I've done that before when I was of a more masochistic bent. Since then I've stopped punishing myself, I've given up self flagellation bouts, wearing hair shirts, and drinking Sam Smith's beer.Find a Sam Smiths pub..
I always find mine slump after a return from Liverpool. You may also need to monitor your awesome levels as your body may not be used to the sudden increase.
