I've never heard of this before but I was cycling passed a bike shop today that was advertising accepting your old bike as part ex for a new one. Has anyone actually taken a LBS up on this type of deal?

I've part ex'd a couple of bikes and got a pretty good deal .. one of our large cycling shops have a huge sign up on the side of the M5/A38 offering cash for secondhand bikes
