Some cars - particularly General Motors - split corrugated tubes for running electrical wiring through. Sizes range from 1/4 inch to over an inch; 1/2 inch is very common.
If you don't have a friendly salvage yard handy, some auto parts stores carry replacement sections, or you can buy the stuff by mail. "Split corrugated tubing" or "split wire sleeve" will bring it up on eBay or Amazon.
