I understand this was a shop in Bishop Auckland Co. Durham

I've been offered a touring bike based on a Paul Donohue 531 frame (3 sets of bottle bosses, canti brakes, front and rear rack braze-ons)

Was this guy a frame builder or just a frame badger/renovator?

Sounds like a nice late 90s model with 105 8 speed downtube kit.

I know 531 frames ended in 1998 due to it not being TIG weldable steel (now special order only).

It seems the shop is closed now.

I think he was a respected builder. Didn't he used to build Graham Weigh stuff? And didn't Donaghue have some sort of tie-in with Cougar or Corrado?

Someone with an interest in this sort of stuff should try and put together a 'Framebuilder Family Tree'!
