been out on the bike most of the day. Just caught the last half hour of the New York Marathon on tv. What a great finish by Paula radcliffe. The Etheopian runner was tracking her all the way at the end, before surging past her.Radcliffe was having non of it and fought back for a great win. The look of determination on her face and the strengh she had was amazing. She looks stronger and fitter than ever before. Nice to see a Brit winning.;)

A brilliant performance from Paula and an incredible last 2 miles of racing.

    Amazing last mile by Paula.
I kept thinking she was about to collapse or fall over due to her gawky running style though ;)

What a woman. I wish I had some of what she's got.

dan_bo How much does it cost to Oldham?

Same here. I believe they call it 'talent'!?! ;)

Hmmm, I'm not too sure if you can be 'talented' at running? Sure there is technique involved but sheer athletic fitness, speed, endurance and stamina seem to be the overriding qualifications necessary to win marathons.

The woman has got some cojones that's for sure. The last 1/2 mile was a grat ending, the other woman trying to challenge and then Paula just answering her questions with a sudden surge of energy. how she beats the pain barrier that much I have no idea, when cycling half the time I want to pack it in when I'm half way up a hill.
