I used to iron my tea towels. They pack down better in the drawer and also do their job a leeetle better. But, y'know, about 10%, which I've now sacrificed!

I agree ironed sheets are nice but with a duvet cover it makes much less difference. But there will be some people out there who'd like that labour done for them I'm sure, to go back to the original subject of the thread!

Have t read all the answers so apologies for repeats, we used to get ours done, 15 per big laundry bag. Typically 15 t sorts, 10 shirts/ blouses ( own hangers provided) and one set f bed linen. Veritable bargain!!

I remember our old ironing board as a kid, it had a "mini " ironing board that you did sleeves on, put it inside the sleeve I think

Last night I put some choonz on the stereo and did the ironing.

About 4 of my shirts, 6 or 7 of Mrs. P's tops, a couple of skirts and a couple of pairs of trousers.

Took about 20 minutes. Can't see what the fuss is about. Good chill out time whilst doing something useful which didn't require any thought!

I've done all my own ironing since the age of 13 when my Mother declared she would not create a rod for another woman's back.

I'd happily pay someone to do it for me but that requires levels of organisation I can't be arsed to muster for domestic trivia like ironing.
