When the small business can connect there will no doubt be a large charge, just to make it harder for the smaller businesses.

The thing is there are already a number of companies/banks providing the bluetooth card readers so that businesses can take mobile payments and charging for the pleasure, so it is unlikely that this will ever become available for businesses.

But what you could do is use a spare current account to get the payments into then do a regular transfer to your business account to get around this, of course some people use a standard current account to run their business from and these people will be able to use this.

The banks often cotton on to that trick. You may be surprised at how many people are nervous of those Bluetooth readers for some reason.
