Warrington must be 25-30 miles away but people nearer the centre are complaining of the smell and the smoke.
An expert said it because the weather heat is not allowing the smoke to go upwards so it has to drift sideways.
I live in north Warrington so its not bad although I can smell it as I type.

Was bad this morning in Bredbury, but was OK a mile further South and into Cheshire (Poynton/Woodford) but when I came back from a ride it was still around. Wind has changed slightly now, so no smell but can see the smoke plume from our
house. Strong winds still.. We could smell it worse outside and in our bedroom.

We could smell it here last night

and I could feel the smoke in my lungs at times

Also the sun was an amazing bright red caused by the particles in the air

Apparently the smoke from Conwy (near where I used to live) was blowing out to sea mostly so it was the smoke from Dovestone that was coming over here
which is quite a way!!!

It's the smoke from the Peaks (two going on now as Tintwistle fire went up even more with the wind) - found a live satellite feed that showed the smoke trail more over us from 10am, then moved a bit North again a bit later.

All this because of idiots.
