Pelago bikes

Well here's a weird thing. We were just walking to Wetherspoons for a sneaky latte when I noticed a funky new bike shop has opened in our town centre. Done out very trendy and minimalist with only 5 bikes on display. The brand is Pelago, which is apparently Finnish. They looked quite nice, very retro. Could only see the price of the fold up electric one in the window, which looked like it weighed a ton and was about £2k+.

The reviews seem to suggest they are decent bikes, though they seem expensive to me. I'll be interested to see how the shop gets on with small stocks of such a niche product.

Wetherspoons in a pandemic

I feel pretty safe in them. They have removed a lot of the tables and put barriers up between the tables. You can only use the app to order. Must wear a mask when not at a table and lots of sanitiser out. I felt safer than in Tesco where people not wearing masks were still allowed in and plenty were ignoring social distancing.
