Well done getting that stem out. Clearly you have no propensity for appeasement.

Itching to get back on my bike's
Really struggled to get the top lock nut started cleanly, so let me local bike shop do some thread re working and cleaning, £5 later all sorted.

Once back home seat pin removed cleaned and greased and the handle bar stem re fitted with some grease .

Next job is to fit a new rear brake cable and a bit of light cleaning.

Itching to get back on my bike's
A session in the garage this morning has seen a new inner rear brake cable fitted and a few minor adjustments made.
Then time for a test ride of 5 miles completed without any dramas.
Feels lively and tips my baggage scales at around the 9.5kg

That's a gorgeous looking machine Martin. If the frame were somewhat larger I'd be waving some beer tokens in your direction.

I can understand that completely

Yes that's very nice, just been looking on the original ebay listing, my size but I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER BIKE.

There is a retrobike thread mentioning Phil Sherwood and 753, which I assume you've seen.
