Another 12 mile ride this morning taking it up to over 50 now with the butterfly bars fitted and I really feel the swap has made a huge difference on the usability of the bike.

Being a nexus 8 speed hub novice I am enjoying riding the Fahrrad which is equipped with one .

So far i have completed about 80 miles using it and I must admit I was very sceptical about it to start with but not so much now.

I could certainly see one being useful on a folding bike.

Well the Specialized Roubaix has found a new owner .
The Fahrrad is continuing to impress me or more precisly the Nexus hub and it's gearing on this weekends ride i have shown it some of the short climbs we have locally and it's coped with ease and it actualy seems easier to go an easier gear and spin it out rather than my normal way of trying to turn a harder gear ratio

Just got to decide what is the next project

Of course not: I'm that annoying team leader that says: "What do you think?"

Of course, I shouldn't have: his response was, "I thought if we swap the blocks, and fit them the other way up..."

Probably should add, this particular colleague is a fairly experienced metalworker. I've watched him rebuild a dead 7 speed hub from a parts box with no instructions, basic tools, and some very bad language. He also has a wicked sense of humour.
