EBay has them fro about £25 a pair, but the FLBS usually sells second hand pairs for about £10, depending on condition.

Well that doesn't happen very often , on my morning ride the seat post dropped quite a lot so thought the first thing I would try is a new bolt in the clamp and I found one in the second ice cream tub I looked in .

So bolt replaced and it seams to tighten a lot easier so will see.

A quick once over and off I went on my Tonard my first ride on a drop handle bar bike for at least 4 months

First evening garage session for a long while swapping out the flex stem on the Fahrrad for an A head stem and converter followed by a mile test ride.

Half an hour tonight has seen Mr Roberts ready for a few miles 😄

Next job is to unearth my Giant halfway folder and get it rideable for an upcoming holiday

Couldn't refuse this Kingpin, it's sat unused for 30 years but I rode it home just now only a mile but amazingly all 3 gears are working.

Had a bit of time looking at this tonight , handle bar stem and seat post are free , bars are scabby as are the chrome rims.
Guards look in good condition .
Got rear brake working but caliper pivot needs cleaning and poss new inner cable
Fr tyre looks to be an original one whilst rear is a schwalbe
Rear sturmey hub is a 28 hole item forgot to count fr one

‘Full fat’ cola and scrunched aluminium foil to scrub the chrome back to bright. Remember to use the shiny side. Will take repeated applications. Use gloves to avoid black hands.
Check under the ‘lever-bolts’ for rust under the plastic covers
Replacement wheels are available, but expensive, as they are oddly specific to the Kingpin. Sheldon Brown notes that size wheel to European kids bikes and folders - the Kingpin.
