Personalised number plates - your theory

In this neck of the woods, Chelsea tractors have found a breeding ground, often driven by yummy mummies who can't park them. On top of this they have this number plate which is trying to say something, usually by adding a black screw head on to another letter. What's all that about? Police could make a fortune in fines, [if there were any] not to mention the ones in italics etc.
I quite like it as it's easier to remember the t..t who came too close.....and I do remember

Whatever. Peoples' choices on what they spend their money on is their call, nought to do with me. Wouldn't be my choice but then I suspect some wouldn't see the point in 5 bikes! Maybe, if I was loaded, I might think about it. Maybe. But I doubt it.

I bought my wife a private plate a few years ago for a Valentine's Day pressie.
It was only £250 and her nickname is LoopyLeesa.

She now has L100PYX on her Celica.

It was relatively inexpensive, and it's unique (obviously!).
Best bit is that many private plates hold their value, so they can actually be an investment - just check out how much K1NGS or S1NGH or DAV1D last went for at auction

In the late 1960s, my dad's first ever car, number plate was 3 numbers + 3 letters... letters happened to be his initials, and he always said the numbers were his works roll number (though I think that might have been a fib).
