I don't think you were. It wasn't a straight forward advert placed accidentally. It was classic spam pretending to be a third party recommendation of someone else's products when they were products made by him and his dad. Lee knew what he was doing

Thanks for your advice, I have read the terms and guidlines, and am now fully aware of the site etiquette.
Great site and I promise to be well behaved from now on. I didnt think I had upset so many of your members by mentioning my dads website.

You didn't upset me: it's not as if you were pretending to be something you're not.

Agreed it was wrong for you to advertise as you did, but it was obvious to me who you were and that you were "guilty" of no more than being over-zealous; just don't start posting recommendations for Viagra or data-entry jobs.

Too many self-appointed defenders of CC's virtue...
