There is a section of road near me which has been dug up in places way too many times making it a minefield of potholes for anyone on a bike. This section of road is just before a hill, so you must slow down and struggle up the hill.

I've had a bit of a search and I can't find a thread on it, so what are your petty hates when you're out on your bike?

To kick off, I hate when I'm labouring up a hill and have to watch in dismay as someone looks left and right, sees there is no traffic but still presses the button at the pedestrian crossing. I could easily keep going and avoid them but I always stop and then have the struggle to get up to speed.

Petty I know. Anyone else like me?

When that happens I just keep going but I take care not to run them over or collide with them

Getting off the bike after a long ride, realising you're bursting for the loo, frantically looking for a loo or a bush, finding somewhere suitable, rushing in, remembering you're wearing bib shorts ....

I got 3 REALY big ones! police cyclists who dont know the rules of the road. they dont indicate they tell you off if you overtake. and you have to remind them you are on a joined cycle path and show them the sighn. and they still tell you to get off!

and the other is motorists and bus drivers who delibratly sandwich you on the curb (or fence) when you undertake in a cycle lane At a red traffic light

and lastly drivers that dont indicate

The motorist who sees me approaching at speed but pulls out in front of me,then goes slow.

The wobbly, unsure cyclists who are usually 5 stone heavier than me, and the fear of them colliding with me.
There is a steep hill and a bustop where i live. neerly crashed sevrel times when a bus driver pulls out when im ontop of him. and im goin 35-40mph. whats worce is that i know he sees me in the mirror. Coz i can see him when he does it!@*#!
