phone holder

Help please ! i have a BTWIN phone holder which clips onto handlebars, but it has a plastic face cover and i have trouble seeing the screen. I use mapmyride app and need to see screen to pause workout when i stop ( quite often at moment )
Was thinking of cutting off plastic cover but worried phone might fall out if i go over bumps, what would you suggest, is there a better phone holder out there.

Mapmyride has or should have an auto stop function. Look in the settings. It can lag slightly but it will pause the ride for you when it detects you've stopped.

Quadlock. It's brilliant. Initially I used the iPhone holder. Then I bought a charging case which gives me around 1.5 full charges and bought the quadlock that sticks onto the back of any case. The glue it came with wasvrubbish but super glued it instead directly into my charging case.

Now means I get around 10 hours battery when in flight mode as I use rwgps and download the maps in advance.
