Don't like pickled onions, but I have been known to drink the vinegar straight from the jar once the onions have all gone. Similarly as a child I hated pickled beetroot, but would happily dip a slice of bread in the vinegar and eat it.

I could eat a tin of little silverskins in about 10 minutes. Love them. Usually get some at a family party then I empty the jar after everyone has had some. I never buy them. My sister/hubby do buy them regular. It's a treat for me if there are some at a party.

I do like a nice pickled onion, even on a roast beef butty, my grandad used to make fantastic pickled onions, far better than shop bought, but sadly something i‘ll never have again

I always save the pickled onion vinegar for use on my chips.

That is the best chip vinegar possible. Pickled onion vinegar. :hungry:

Well the ones I have are silverskins.
Sadly you know where I live so I had better get eating.😊

Could be? I reckon we need @Fab Foodie for guidance.

Love me a pickled onion, and pickled eggs were a revelation when I discovered them not too long ago!

The acid in your stomach is stronger than the acid in vinegar, so unless you're drinking gallons, there shouldn't be a problem.
There are many of the opinion that a spoonful of Vinegar daily solves all medical issues...of course, it has to be the right kind of vinegar....
