You could probably get a polycarbonate replacement specifically cut "on line" - I've use a couple of places to cut rectangles to a specific size (MM) so I'm sure one of these could do it - loads if you google.

To be honest not exactly sure of age, I would guess perhaps a bit later? I'm sure someone will have a better indication on date.

I think they were available well into the 80's, although I doubt they were selling many by then.

I remember having a set of these on one of my bikes, I think it would have been 1980's

I had a front one. it was like a reality TV star: heavy, shiny and not very bright.

I’ve been searching for a set of vintage Pifcos, I can’t believe how much a good set fetches!

got a front in v.good condition , rear lost in the mists of time, the NOS set I see on eBay for £160 in auction I agree seems a steep price .PM me if you find a rear and a period thing of beauty to go between the two lights
