Does someone coming into the thread that Montage started for the randomness we have, and moaning about spelling and grammer count as thread spoiling?

I also object to being called a small child Dayvo. I know what you are getting at,

If the (school) cap fits, montage!

And then you answer your own question!

I read a thread I'm interested in, only to find the children have come into the grown-ups' area and mullered it!

THINK a bit, before putting finger to keyboard. ;)

This is the problem.
There are different areas, and when we enter what you class as an adults one, your not happy.
Chuffy just has a problem with me for some reason.:angry:

Perhaps Admin could start a new "teens" forum

But I think the problem with that is, is that we don't want to be shut out and put into a little corner away forn the adults, which I think is what would happen.

Why all the focus on age?

It's this kind of attitude that keeps a lot of young people out of cycling clubs, they turn up full of beans ad ready to become the next Mark Cavendish, but get patronized and demoralized by a bunch of old duffers who would rather moan about heating allowances than to see potential talent thrive

I'd rather give up my road bikes for a BMX than start going on CTC rides and wearing tweed

It's not an age issue, ZZ!

If you'd seen the post, you'd have understood!

It's about 'mature' posting, not just (for pages on end) who's got the best legs/times etc. ;)

I agree enitrely, if my club hadn't have had a youth section then I wouldn't have joined because I would have had to of stepped up to 40 mile plus club runs at what then seemed a very fast pace (ussually 16.5 mph +), but because of the youth section, who do 16 miles in just over an hour every wednesday, where there is a gaurantee you will not get dropped I did join.

Sorry, there is a grown up's area? What may I ask defines the difference between a grown up's area and areas that are not? If it is maturity, then this bars a great deal more than just joe, YU, Kovu and I. Same goes for grammar and spelling. So is it age that defines the difference? People that you like?

Taking the biscuit
Young Un. The difference being that you, and nearly all of the other 'younger' forummers, actually have a capacity for manners and heeding advice.

As for the spelling and grammer, it is a generational thing.
We have dyslexic adults on this forum who don't attract the same comments.
Considering how mangled some of text contained in the 'younger' forummers posts that do attract comment, it is often meant to be helpful but just comes across all blah, blah, blah.............

My club has Go-ride. I just went straight to the club ride though, and the club captain made sure the person in charge of the run knew i was new, so it was slower. Then, another person that came out saw i was new and looked after me. Made sure i wasnt dropped, told me where to be, and after i had been out a while, got me to the front.
Im now good friends with this guy.
I cycle with people that are older, i give them respect because they have looked after me and have given me alot of respect.
It seems that some people on here dont want some fun talk on threads. Ok that thread that was started by 'nano' was abit bad. But we didnt actually think it was that serious.
Mature posting has nothing to do with it. Look at what some of the other forum members post, they arent mature at all. No-one moans.
